I have been a teacher of secondary school mathematics in New Zealand since 1975. A head of department for more than 10 years I have taught mathematics to students aged 11 through to 18 years old. I have been an in-school facilitator for the Ministry of Educations Secondary Numeracy Project and have recently taken a position managing this project with the Ministry of Education as the Senior Adviser, based in Wellington. Prior to taking up my present position I became involved with the UK Cars Maths in Motion software and had the pleasure of working with students (and teachers) in the UK and running races in real time via elluminate! I am passionate about the use of technology in mathematics & also its use for facilitation and PD with teachers and educators.
