Hello Beth,
You wrote:don't know why they felt the slides weren't appearing legible enough when they used Presentation view.
Should we change the resolution at which we import the slides?
I suggest to import PPTs like this: Switch
layout from standard to whiteboard-only mode. Then start Open
Whiteboard. Select PPT in the file types - the import quality buttons
appear on the right border. Switch to "Better Quality". If asked for the
resolution, use "Canvas Size". This gives a good resolution, but takes a
little bit longer.
More infos about this are described here

We often use the same setup as you do (if I understand you right). In
a straight forward setup (presenter´s laptop shows same content on
screen and on projector) the participants are able to lurk at the
presenter´s screen, in fact all onsite users (physically in the same
room as the presenter).
The whiteboard frame is expandable by selecting the "whiteboard only"
layout, but the Elluminate client around remains visible. If
presentation mode is forced, the participants do still have a window
headline with the basic menü, while the moderator´s view remains (except
you check the presentation for myself, which hides your slide
navigation - not that practical). The quest is to keep control while
preventing others from observing ontrols.
Some suggestions for experiments with DualDisplay:
Configure the laptop to expand the desktop instead of cloning it.
Here are my best magic whiteboard tricks for single blended
presenters:
1. Brute force: Start Elluminate twice, and strip moderator
rights from one window. Move the participant window on the projectors
area and maximize there. Then start presentation mode from the other
client on the private laptop screen. Now your projector shows a
near full screen as all online parties. No one lurks on the moderator´s
panel except the presentator.
Now for the advanced magic (part of my Master course only)
2. Sophisticated: With Windows dual display controls you can
arrange the projectors frame area BELOW to the laptop´s frame. On the
Laptop, size the Elluminate window big, but do not maximize; then shift
it downwards. The whiteboard should appear on the projector. Adjust the
relative positions with care, to have the controls on the private
screen while the whiteboard area full sizes the projector. You should
move your bottom taskbar elsewhere or make it autohiding.
Well, method 1 is good for a tip sheet, while 2 needs experience and a
professional arangement. Elluminate provides some tipps for those so
called "Blended Event" scenarios:

Thanks Keith!
The presenter is displaying their Elluminate session via the projector and using a wireless mic to capture the audio. So remote participants are able to view the same slides and hear the presentation as the live audience, who is viewing Elluminate via a large screen.
I wasn't present in the session so don't know why they felt the slides weren't appearing legible enough when they used Presentation view. I like the idea of sharing the PowerPoint presentation via an app share, although I'll have to check with them whether they have any low bandwidth remote participants.
Hi Beth
Who is using the projector? Is it a participant on the other end who is then displaying the slides via the projector to a live in the room audience?
Normally using presentation mode should allow the slides to be viewed and projected full screen. They could also switch the view mode to whiteboard only in place of default or some other view. Also the moderator could share the slides via application share and launch ppt from their end.
Like to help further but may not understand your problem exactly.
Cheers..
Keith

We have moderators who are using Elluminate to allow remote participants to attend live presentations. The presenter is uploading PowerPoint slides to Elluminate, then displaying the Whiteboard using the Presentation mode to the live audience (50+ people).
They are having some trouble getting the whiteboard view to display well via a projector. The slides appear too small.
Anyone have tips on how to improve the display? Should we change the resolution at which we import the slides? Anything else we can do? Any suggestions are appreciated!
