Dear, if you are using Moodle, go to see the following link:

I would look into software that converts handwriting into either LaTex or MathML. An example would be Inlage. Also, Windows 7 has the math input panel that offers something similar. Hope this helps!
I am not sure I understand the options. Perhaps I could explain the need:
I teach high school students mathematics. My goal is to be able to set on-line meeting with few students, and see on-line how they do answer questions / do homework. So I need two things: ability to see on-line data that they type (and they see what I type), and also the ability to write math equations. The later is a challenge, because unlike text, math is not limited to one line, character after character.
Thank you
Yigal
You can definitely do that in Elluminate. You can do that with up to 3 people in an Elluminate vroom that is free through here. If you need a room for larger than that you can use the Elluminate room available through the Host Your Own Webinars group here at LearnCentral for free. The only stipulation is that the session would need to be open to the public, although a tutoring session wouldn't be interesting to most, and the session be free to those who attend. In an Elluminate session, you can type on the whiteboard or use the pen or highlighter tools to write on the whiteboard to draw out equations, problems, solutions, etc.
In what context are you asking about ways to demonstrate or write functions, equations, etc.? In an online webinar, or on a SMART board?

I am new here. My first question would be how can mathematics equations, functions be written and drawn. i hope there is an easy way.
