Detail Description: Prototyping is the stage of actually building a game—before the programming. A sample game, using paper, chips, wood or plastic pieces, etc. provides an opportunity to actually test the game play before getting to the coding. It also offers a chance to write down what works and what players liked best in your design doc. A well-designed game will be fun to play even before it winds up on a computer screen!
